Altered Bottle lampshade with filament decoupage paper

 Hello crafty friends!

Today I am sharing an altered bottle lamp shade with decoupage and clay work with moulds...using Itsy bitsy filament decoupage paper... I am not writing much as I am sharing step by step pictures so you will get the idea...

First I have taken a clean glass bottle and did white gesso mixing little clear varnish.

Once gesso dried I  stuck the decoupage papers on both sides using decoupage glue. Then colored the bottle using matching chalk paint( had to mix 2-3 shades to get that color).then did little stencil work using brick stencil..at this stage I wasn't sure about clay work 😀...

Then using sakura air dry clay and moulds I designed on the bottle on both sides.

Once clay work dried.. I have painted middle inbetween clay portion with snow white chalk paint.

After white paint dried properly..I have applied umber dark brown oil color on raised and inbetween clay work using brush.. don't get scared at this stage..as after applying dark brown....using wet wipes I removed dark brown colors from raised areas n few required places....this technique gives beautiful distress look on clay and background areas.
When oil color dried..I gave a touch of  antique gold wax on raised clay work.
After a day or two I have used a coat of aquadur clear varnish on full bottle.

Finally on top I have fixed lampshade fitting..and my bottle lampshade is ready...though photogh is not doing justice, beleive me in real it looks very beautiful
 ❤️
Iam ready with my another altered bottle will share in my next post till then you all take care, stay safe and happy crafting. Thank you for stopping by.
