Vintage shabby chic- photo folio album-DT Daksha

Hi! friends,
Hope you are enjoying the works of all Nakshathra designz DT's...and getting inspiration from their works...for todays post I have made Vintage shabby chic photo folio album...these pattern papers are so pretty...for this theme. Loved Dazzling queen photos from these pattern papers ....and thats enough to inspire you....

Pictorial tour of  photo folio album:

Size of my album is 8'' *8" and it got lots of folds and pocket tags...For three main folds ( front-middle-back) I have used chipboards as I wanted my folio album strong ( we can use heavier gsm cardstock also)..For inside flip and folds I have used 300 gsm cardstock.
To decorate the front of my album I have used one of the vintage lady image from 'Dazzling queen' pattern papers... and to frame it I have used white gesso mdf frame ,on which I have use glossy accent and  sprinkled cosmic shimmers glitter jewels. Used laces, pearls, mulberry flowers, metal charms, sentiment tiles, prima butterflies and few stamped sentiments . For mdf sentiment I have used  gold UTEE embossing powder with versamark and heat embossed. Used metal handle for the opening of  folio album. Inside I have used magnets for flips n folds.
Here's the video of it:
Thats all for today...will be back with more new designs n pattern papers..hope you all like my effort..waiting for your comments.
Thank you
Love n Hugs

Tea bag dispenser tutorial + tea pot shaped easel card : DT Daksha

Hello! Friends,
For today's post I have made a tea bag dispenser and a tea pot shaped easel  card which is totally hand shaped and hand cut..I have not used any die for that card. I have made a template for tea pot and then a scallop circle easel card. For layering my project I have used Nakshathra designz pattern paper 'In love'.

Tea bag dispenser tutorial:

To create base:
Take a CS 6"*12"
Score on 6" short side score at 1"
Score on 12" long side at 3-1/16,5-3/4,8-13/16, 11-1/2"
Using a paper trimmer with a scoring blade, score 3/4" above the 1" score line in the second segment only (see photo).cut out the 1-3/4×2-3/4 piece from the bottom of the second segment and 1/2×1" last corner piece.cut between the remaining 1" flap.

To create the top-
Score -4-1/4 ×4-5/8piece of CS at 3/4" on all sides. Cut and taper the corners as shown.
Cover the base and top with pattern paper and for the base chipboard size is 3" ×3-3/8". I have covered the base chipboard with PP and used washi tapes on all sides to cover the edges.
Finally decorated the top with PP, distress it with vintage photo ink, used metal button, resin cameo, mulberry flowers, pearl lace, stamped sentiment.. (On which I have used glossy accent and glitter rock candy).
For the base I have used PP , embellished with tea-cup sticker,laces..etc
Hope all the details are clear..if you have any doubts or query..please send me message or write in comments..I will surely reply .
Thank you for stopping by...its bye for now, will be back with another Nakshathra designs post next week..till then goodbye.. Take care and stay blessed.
Love n hugs
Daksha

Vintage style dresser with drawers-DT post by Daksha Popat

Hello! Friends,
I am very thrilled and  excited, as this is my first post as DT for Nakshatra Designs. Their papers are amazing and its a "made in India " brand.
For today's post I have made vintage style Dresser with drawers. This project was playing in my mind from long time and when I saw the 'Vintage Melange' pattern papers of Nakshatra designs ,I immediately decided to go for this. Initially I had to do few trials and error as I just had drawer's
measurement.....the rest I planned accordingly. I am very happy with the end result ...hope you all like this

.
To make my project strong and sturdy ,I have used 350 gsm cardstock. I have used cream color CS and after finishing all drawers and structure I distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. To decorate my  dresser  I have used 'Vintage Melange' PP...Tim haltzs ring handles, resin and metal emblishments, laces , pearls etc  . Mini flower pot on dresser I have made using round silver bead and tiny mulberry roses . I have uesd metal legs for dresser..which is giving extra beauty to this project.
Thank you for stopping by...hope you all liked my effort ,waiting for your comments
love n hugs

Dress my craft -product- sequin sets

Hello! Crafters
Iam Daksha popat at crafters corner blog...with few simple cards using dress my craft sequins...
I believe that everyone is aware of the brand 'dress my craft'. It is an Indian crafting brand started by Shalini Mittal of crafter's corner. Recently it is also made available internationally. When Shalini sent me 6 boxes of these sequin sets and asked me to give review on them along with some simple cards...I was more than happy to do so...

The very first thing one might notice about these DMC sequins is their packaging, which is both pretty and useful. The boxes are designed so beautifully that taking out and pouring in sequins is much easier. They are also easy to stack. The quantity is also pretty good. Each set has unique colors and is a mixture of various shapes and sizes. The shades are beautiful and pastel ..unlike striking vibrant colours available in the markets. These can be used in various projects like shaker cards, pocket layouts and also to emblishments simple cards. These go well with any project I make ,blending in perfectly and providing beautiful results. Without any further delay here are some cards I made using these sequins.

Hope you all liked my effort to make different cards with these sequin sets. Last but not the least I would like to thank Shalini Mittal and dress my craft for giving me the opportunity to review this wonderful product.
Love n hugs

Photo sleeve layout

Hello!crafter's,
Happy women's day!to all
For today's post I am very excited as
I tried this for the first time. Recently I bought a project life fuse tool and when I wanted to make something new and different for the Papericious February challenge-Logo colours with love theme
After long thinking I decided to go for this -tried my hand on photo sleeve layout...its a 12" *12" layout.

I was hoarding these photo sleeves from itsy bitsy for long time(bought for scrapbook layout),so started my project layout immediately...
When I first laid hands on my Papericious paper pack -'perfect affair'...I wanted to do a layout..so making a layout was quit easy and these papers did the half work...I didn't have to think much as this paper pack has beautiful designs and sticker sheets which I have used in my layout totally

First I took a 12"*12" white sheet and did a pencil layout according to my requirement.

I wanted center picture 4"*6".. So did the layout accordingly

Now according to my layout size I cut out the black card stock and layered it with different pattern papers using 'Perfect affair'(Papericious). I have distressed the edges of each pattern paper cutouts with vintage photo distress ink...then decorated it with stickers (which I fussy cut and used ),used papericious theme based chippis(except center couple and heart with key),used lace, pearls, heart sequins, metal charms ,stamped sentiments, glossy accents, rock candy, cosmic shimmers glitters...etc...here you can see each pocket pictures..

Finally I sealed each pockets using fuse tool .Fuse tool is very easy and fun to use -definetly going to use more.
Thank you for stopping by ...love to see your comments and suggestions
Love and hugs
Daksha
